An insurance survey will cover the full scope of inspection as outlined above for a pre-purchase survey, but will be concentrated on the structural integrity of the hull and fittings, and condition of the machinery installation, and will exclude secondary fittings, outfit, navaids, & non-essential instrumentation etc.
A separate statement of the vessel's current market value at the time of survey can be provided on request with either a pre-purchase survey or an insurance survey.
We do not issue valuation statements without conducting either a pre-purchase or an insurance survey.
